The All Year Long Christmas Cork Wreath - Burlap

Image
The Christmas season is the best time of year to sit down and get those crafty fingers moving. What we love about our crafts is that you don't have to be Martha Stewart ( no shade ) to do them. They are simple, inexpensive and to the point! We actually bought most of the supplies from our local Dollar Tree. Our goal is for you to not break the bank, while exploring our recipes, crafts, and events. Special thanks to our guest crafter, Margaret, for creating the beautiful wreath.  We are calling it the all year long Christmas wreath because it's classic look allows it to be enjoyed in the home all year long. Incorporate the wreath in a bridal shower or wedding design. Our Top 6 Netflix Christmas Movies with Wine Pairings

Image
Christmas movies make us feel so warm, fuzzy, and nostalgic. It's the one time of year where we don't care too much about acting skills or how cheesy the plotline is. We crave the Christmas spirit. Of course, we crave the classic Christmas favorites year after year, like It's a Wonderful Life , Home Alone , Elf, and A Christmas Story. Since most of the world has Netflix, we thought it would be fun to pair wine with our current favorite Netflix Christmas Movies. Here is our top 5 for 2020. If you enjoy great singing, dancing, and Broadway, you will love Jingle Jangle . It's the perfect movie for the entire family, young and old. The film's premise is about the most incredible toymaker of all time losing his magic touch. How does he find it again? Watch the movie to find out!! The musical numbers and singers are superb. Starring the phenomenal actor Forest Whitaker and the forever graceful Phylicia Rashad. Jingle Jangle Wine Pairing: We paired this movie with the Swe

Red Wine Hot Chocolate

Image
Today we went live on Facebook, 2 sisters in St. Louis and 1 sister in California, and we made red wine hot chocolate. We grabbed the recipe from Traveling Vineyard and we wanted to taste test. Niambi in California followed the recipe exactly and Ayanna & Aisha used a variation. Ayanna and Aisha didn't have the heavy cream on hand, so they used sweet condensed milk. We learned that the sweet condensed milk made the hot chocolate thicker and very sweet. We suggest you follow the exact recipe but you can use any dry red wine. Niambi used Rayado Cabernet Sauvignon and Ayanna and Aisha used Bailando Superior Malbec. To watch the live video, go to our Facebook Page.  Get the Adult Decision Sweatshirt in time for Christmas SHOP NOW    We hope you enjoy the recipe!  If you make it, please tag us in your photo on Instagram , Facebook, or Twitter - @3ladiesonavine    Check out our NEW WEBSITE! -we will eventually be moving the blog over to the new site!

Luxx Merlot Pairing - White Chocolate Chip & M&M's Cookies (Soft & Chewy)

Image
December is the month of the cookie! We've been making holiday cookies since we were kids, as we watched holiday movies and sang Christmas carols! As a kid we paired the cookies with milk but one of the benefits of being an adult is that we now can enjoy them with wine!! YAY! As we were deciding on what cookie to make for the blog we reached out to our husbands! They agreed we should make a white chocolate chip cookie with the red and green M&Ms. It sounded divine so we created a soft and chewy cookie that is AHHHmazzzing!  We paired the cookies with Traveling Vineyard's Luxx Merlot . How did we know which wine to pair the cookies with? Well, glad you asked (LOL)! On our wine shop website you can categorize what your eating and the site gives you wine suggestions. How cool is that! See How - Pair My Food LUXX Merlot 2018 – Medium to full bodied red wine Slightly murky, just opaque garnet-to-brick; medium to full bodied.
