Luxx Merlot Pairing - White Chocolate Chip & M&M's Cookies (Soft & Chewy)

December is the month of the cookie! We've been making holiday cookies since we were kids, as we watched holiday movies and sang Christmas carols! As a kid we paired the cookies with milk but one of the benefits of being an adult is that we now can enjoy them with wine!! YAY!

As we were deciding on what cookie to make for the blog we reached out to our husbands! They agreed we should make a white chocolate chip cookie with the red and green M&Ms. It sounded divine so we created a soft and chewy cookie that is AHHHmazzzing!

We paired the cookies with Traveling Vineyard's Luxx Merlot. How did we know which wine to pair the cookies with? Well, glad you asked (LOL)! On our wine shop website you can categorize what your eating and the site gives you wine suggestions. How cool is that! See How - Pair My Food

White Chocolate Chip & M&M Cookie Recipe
Ingredients
2 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup softened butter
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
2 eggs
1 cup white chocolate chips
1 cup red and green holiday M&Ms

Supplies
A cookie sheet pan
Parchment Paper
A cookie scooper or spoon

Directions
  • Preheat Oven to 350 degrees
  • In a bowl mix the flour, salt, and baking soda together
  • In a 2nd bowl mix the white sugar, brown sugar, butter, vanilla, eggs with a mixer until well combined.
  • Next hand stir in the white chocolate chips and m&ms
  • (Save about a tablespoon of the M&Ms to add on top of the cookies after the dough is scooped onto the baking pan).
  • Now it's time to scoop the cookie dough on the pan.
  • To make the size cookies shown, we used 2 scoops for one cookie. That is about 2 Tablespoons.
  • If making large cookies, do not over crowd the pan. The cookies need enough room to expand.
  • Lastly add the M&Ms you saved and place on top of the uncooked dough. You do not have to smash them in, just place them on top of the dough.
  • Place the cookies in the oven and bake for 12-14 minutes

We hope you enjoy our cookie recipe and create new memories one bite and one sip at a time.
