3 Ladies on a Vine at The Eckert's Annual Wine & Food Festival The 3 ladies recently had the pleasure of attending the Annual Wine and Food Festival at Eckert’s Country Store and Farms . Eckert’s Belleville Country Store is located in Belleville, IL., nestled in a small town about 18 miles from St. Louis Missouri. Each time we visit the country store, we feel at home. The staff always has a smiling face and eager to help answer any question.  This year’s festival cost was $20.00 and was worth every penny.  The festival featured over 30 wines from Missouri as well as nearby states by the way of Indiana and Kentucky. There were also other beverages featured such as locally produced vodka, craft beers, hard cider and whiskey.  The festival also offered cooking demos and product samplings of applewurst sausage, local cheeses, meats, pickles, salsa, dips, sweets and much more.   cheese from Marcoot Jersey Creamery  Stumpy

Kerrygold Aged Cheddar, Blarney. Dubliner and Chardonnay When you think of St. Patrick's Day and Ireland, the first thing that pops in your head is the color green and of course beer. Last year Ireland drunk 694 million pints of beer. That is a lot of beer! Ireland is also known for excellent dairy and especially cheese. Ireland has lush green grass where the cows can graze for months, which results in mouth-watering cheese. Kerrygold Irish Cheese prides themselves by having their cows graze for at least 300 days before they produce any butter or cheese. As we all know wine and cheese go hand and hand. Why not celebrate St. Patrick's Day with some authentic Irish cheese and your favorite wine. Dubliner A robust somewhat sweet & nutty cheese, with a bit of a hard texture. Wine Pairing:  Merlot, Sangiovese, & Chardonnay Blarney Castle  A mild and creamy cheese that is rich and velvety.    Wine Pairing:   Sauvignon Blanc  Aged Ched
