Boo-tacular Bottles Centerpiece - Halloween Craft

With our long quarantine, we know you have empty wine bottles on your kitchen counter! Shhh it's our secret! Do not throw them away... wine bottles can be reused for so many cool crafts!! We decided to turn our bottles into a spooky Halloween centerpiece!

Let's get started! We went to Michaels and picked up supplies! Remember, you can design your bottles anyway you choose but we bought crafting pom-poms, cats, ribbon, google eyes, glitter, witch fingers, black Martha Stewart paint, and a white sharpie. We also bought mini battery powered string lights.

*Note - You will need a paint brush, newspaper or anything to cover your table up while painting, and a hot glue gun with glue sticks.

1.  First soak your bottles in warm soapy water for about 10 minutes and then use a scraper or sharp object to scrap the paper off. *If you have more time, soak them over night in warm soapy water and a tablespoon of baking soda. The paper will come right off the next morning.

2. Now begin painting.. make sure the bottles are dry. You will paint 2-3 coats using the black Martha Stewart paint.

3. On your last coat, add glitter to one side of your bottles. See how the glitter reflects when lights are dimmed.
 4. Next start decorating the front side of the bottle. We used the white sharpie to freehand the BOO letters. If you are not good at freehand, find wooden letters and hot glue them on. We bought wood letters but they were too large.

5. Use your creativity and hot glue pom-poms, cats, ghosts, and ribbons!

6. Next we hot glued witches fingers on the top of the bottles. They look like wine stoppers and add the perfect spooky look.

7. Lastly wrap the mini battery powered lights around the bottom of the bottles. They look so cool with the lights off!

We hope you enjoyed our Boo-tacular October Craft! Look for new crafts every 15th of the month.  To see our September craft, check it out on Instagram! Please tag us @3ladiesonavine if you try this craft at home. We would love to see and share!
