Red, Wine, & Blue, The Ultimate 4th of July Cocktail Recipes

Fireworks, Food, Family, Festivities, Parades, U.S.A., and delicious cocktails are how we summarize The 4th of July! Let's be honest, not all of us are patriotic, but as a foodie and cocktail enthusiast, we just want to celebrate. At this point in our lives, any excuse to indulge in scrumptious food and drinks and spend time with our families is what it's all about.

3 Ladies on a Vine created 4 easy, yet simple, festive recipes to kick start the 4th of July Weekend! So are you ready to Red, Wine, and Blue!

RED, WINE, & BLUE SMOOTHIE

What You Need
Blender
3 Storage Bowls
1 bottle of sweet white wine
1 bottle of Rosé
Frozen Bananas
Cherries
Cream of Coconut
(We used CoCo Real Gourmet Cream of Coconut, you can find in liquor stores)
Blue Dye

Directions
Blue Layer
Blend together white wine and frozen bananas
Tip: So we wouldn't mess up our blender, we took the white wine out of the blender and added the blue dye in a separate bowl.

White Layer
Blend together white wine and cream of coconut

Red Layer
Blend together Rosé Wine and Pitted cherries
the cherries give it the beautiful red color.

Tips:
1. Put each layer in a separate bowl and freeze over night
2. The next day when ready to serve, you will put each layer separately back into the blender to make it slushy. If it's not thick enough blend with ice. If you don't have time to do it overnight, you can freeze it for a few hours and add ice to thicken it in the blender
3. Place the blue layer on the bottom
4. Do not pour the next layer because it will bleed through. Use a spoon to create the next layer and slowly add the white layer over the blue layer
5. Add the red layer, the same way using a spoon.
6. Another tip was we set the glass in the freezer for a minute after each layer to firm it. Also when we completely created the red, white and blue layers, we put the entire cocktail in the freezer until ready to serve.

SOOOO GOOOOODDD!

STRAWBERRY & BLUEBERRY FRUIT STARS

What You Need
Star silicone ice cube trays (We found ours at Michaels for $2.50)
1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries for red
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries for blue/dark purple
1 bottle of champagne or sparkling wine
1-2 tsp of water or coconut water for more flavor

Instructions
Blend fruit in a blender until smooth
Pour in the star molds
Freeze overnight

When ready to serve, POP fruit stars in a champagne flute and pour in champagne or sparkling wine.
The star molds can last for a few round of drinks and just dissolve in your champagne, giving it a fruity flavor.
