Mom Deserves a MOMosa Bar!

Mother's Day, the 2nd Sunday in May where moms from around the world are celebrated for their endless love and selfless dedication for their family. Moms consistently sacrifice so much for their children, they often forget to take care of themselves. That is why Mother's Day is so important to honor your mother or any woman whose made a difference in your life.

We've never gotten too personal on our blog, but all three of us have lost our moms. Mother's Day is bittersweet, being that two of us are Mother's and we want to celebrate being a mom for our own children; but we also miss our moms. Our moms were fun and spirited women who enjoyed a good party and would definitely partake in having a mimosa.

What is a mimosa? A Mimosa is a cocktail featuring one part champagne or sparkling wine and one part juice. The traditional juice used is orange juice, but with a MOMosa bar it's a time to have fun and explore other flavors. We have used so many varieties of juices, such as mango, peach, strawberry, grapefruit, and the list goes on. We've even visited restaurants where they feature watermelon mimosas, the possibilities are endless. Mimosas are also served in a champagne flute glass to hold the bubbles. It's best to use brut or extra dry bubbly for the mimosas because remember, the juice is going to sweeten it up.

So why a MOMosa Bar on Mother's Day?
1. Moms love champagne, need we say more!
2. A mimosa cocktail is so beautiful in a champagne flute adorned in fruit.
3. Mom will feel so sophisticated while she is holding it with her pinky up.
4. Get as creative as you want with the bar. Set it based on your mother's style and tastebuds.
5. Spend a little or spend a lot. With any budget, your mom will appreciate the time you spent putting it together.
