Cheers to the Strawberry

May is National Strawberry Month, and we couldn't be more excited. Did you know that 94% of Americans consume this delicious and juicy fruit? The massive amount of berries consumed isn't too surprising since strawberries are versatile and can be used in hundreds of recipes.

So this month add strawberries to your wine cocktails. Here are some ideas to get you started, but get creative! We would love to see how you incorporate strawberries into your wine cocktails this month. Email us your pictures to 3ladiesonavine@gmail.com or tag us on Instagram @3ladiesonavine

Spa Retreat
If you are looking for a refreshing cocktail that is flavorful and revitalizing, Spa Retreat will hit the spot. The natural flavors from the strawberries, cucumbers, lemon, and mint enhance the Pink Moscato, and the flavors explode in your mouth with every sip.

In a mason jar, add 1/4 cup of crushed ice to the bottom of the glass. Next, layer thin slices of cucumbers, strawberries, lemon, and mint. Next, add another 1/4 cup of crushed ice. Add a second layer of your fruits and veggies. Last, slowly pour Pink Moscato to the top of the glass. Serve with more garnish and a colorful straw.

Rosé All Day
Rosé is a dryer wine that gets its color by using skins from the red grapes, but not enough to call it red wine. For this cocktail, we only used Rosé wine but added a whole strawberry and mint for garnish. What makes it look fancy is the flute glasses. We found the rose gold glasses at the 99cent only store in California. If you don't have that store in your area, look for similar flute glasses. We suggest heading to your local Goodwill. We find the most adorable vintage glasses at thrift stores.

Rosacato
Everyone has a different palate and for many Rosé Wine is too dry, and Pink Moscato is too sweet. Why not mix them? We found that the half and half mix was a perfect balance of dry and sweet. We selected Rebel Coast's Sunday Funday Rosé and Sutter's Home's Pink Moscato. We added a strawberry, cucumber slice, and raspberries. We garnished it with another strawberry and raspberry.

Lancre Rosé - Medium Bodied/Dry

Pale pink with a coppery tinge; medium body. Animated and poised white flower aromas precede extended flavors of dominant tangy red berries over watermelon rind. Captures the subtle precision of the Cinsault supported by the vigor of the Syrah. Delicate while intense, and accessible while complex.
